Will apple give me a new iphone?
I have an iPhone 5s and the headphone jack has stopped working. I have cleaned it out but still nothing. I looked online and people said take it into apple because I still have warranty on the device but will they give me a new phone or fix it one the spot? If they do give me a new phone, will I be able to pick a different colour?
I would call apple
They will probably take it in and give you a replacement if they can't clean out the jack. Personally I think they'll just clear out and blockage, but if they can't you'll get a new one.
Just say the headphone jack isn't working and you don't know what to do, they're less sympathetic to people who damage it themselves, and you don't have apple care so you can't get away with having linty pockets so easily.
They'll try to fix on the spot, but if they can't they'll replace. Not sure about color switch. Think it's policy you get what you give. Best luck.

My IPHONE had a defect, still under warranty, so I took it to an Apple MAC store and after a few days they gave it back, supposedly repaired. Now the replaced IPHONE has a problem, different than the previous problem I'm now having a problem with the taking a photo. Do they just replace your phone with a reconditioned one they say no but?
