2005 Honda Civic or 2002 Toyota Corolla?
I'm turning 16 soon and i can't decide which car i should get. I'm deciding between a 2005 Honda Civic LX or EX and a 2002 Toyota Corolla LE (don't like the look of 2003 up). I want power windows, but don't care too much for the radio because i'm getting a new one that has an AUX input for my iPhone anyways.
Which car would be better in all aspects? Any additional info for either car is highly appreciated!
Your questions depends a lot on personal preference as well as the condition of the vehicle. Both cars are known for their great reliability and can go hundreds-of-thousands of miles. Just be sure you keep up on the repairs and maintenance for whichever one you choose.
If it was my car, I would pay to get it inspected at the dealership for sure before I bought it. There's nothing more frustrating than spending a lot of money on a new car and having a bunch of hidden defects.
I've never owned a Honda automobile, but I hear nothing but great things about them. They are also easy to find cheap parts for. Same thing goes for Toyota. The civic ex will have a little more power than the other two you're looking for, but it's definitely not a race car… I've owned a few Honda supersport motorcycles and never had any problems. My wife has a 2010 corolla and it seems to run just fine. Modern vehicles are extremely more durable and reliable than cars before this century.
If they are both in the same condition and around the same mileage, I would go with the newer Honda civic. Only because I believe Honda makes a stronger product overall and you will have better resale value on it.
All are about the same except for some differences in features and options. However, since they are all used cars, they can be very different in terms of problems, condition, and miles.
There's an old saying that when you buy a used car, you buy someone else's problems. This is not always true but you always have to ask in your mind, why did the previous owner sell or trade this car.
Therefore, it's always smart to have any used car inspected by a professional mechanic BEFORE you buy it. Don't rely on a dealer or seller to tell you that the car "has no problems" because they all say that, problems or not. And since used cars are sold "as-is" you have no right to return the car and ask for your money back if you find problems after the sale.
Well, whatever car you choose among these two I will say that these cars are reliable.
Honda Civic is better in maintenance and performance.
- Will this Pioneer head unit fit in my 2005 Honda Civic EX? I just bought a 2005 Honda Civic EX as my first car and wanted to get a better set up where I could hook my iPhone up to. I was looking at this Pioneer head unit and was wondering if it would fit in the car. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-X6500BT If it would fit, how much would it cost to install? I'm 16 and can't install it myself unfortunately, so I would need to pay somebody to do it.
- Playing music from iPhone in my honda civic? I just bought a new car - 09 plate honda civic EX and want to use my phone to play music through the car stereo? There's no jack input though - does anyone know what options I have to make it work? (Other than those crappy fm tuners that you put in the bottom of your phone coz they're very temperamental)
- Iphone 4 bluetooth and honda civic 2007? So i have an iphone and i recently bought a honda civic 2007. I want to pair up my iphone to the car but every time i put my iphone's bluetooth on and try to pair it with the car, the lady says 'no phones were discovered' or something along those lines. Does anyone have an idea how to pair my iphone and my honda civic?
- How to import photos to 2013 Honda Civic? I recently purchased a 2013 Honda Civic. I'm trying to import a wallpaper from my Iphone 4s. I connected a cable to the phone and car via USB, went through the appropriate IMID screens but the options are only to select a wallpaper and delete but not to import wallpapers. I'm not finding much online, any ideas why the "Import" option is not there?
