2gb or 4gb data plan on verizon?

I'm switching from t-mobie to verizon (instead of At&t) and getting the iphone 5.currently on t mobile i have unlimited data and my usage varys monthly. I used to use 2gb sometimes, now around 300mb. I tend not to use data as much anymore because t mobiles 4g has been painfully slow lately. Also doesn't LTE eat up more data? (rumor i heard)

I can can get an active military discount on verizon so it will be $85 for 2gb and $93.5 for 4gb. Which should i get?

I WOULD Recommend TO GO WITH THE 4GB AND IF YOUR NOT USING CLOSE TO THE 2 FEEL FREE TO DOWNGRADE TO THE 2GB AND SAVE SOME MONEY BUT YOU CAN ALWAYS USE YOUR PHONE AS A HOTSPOT WITH THE NEW PLANS ON VZW

LTE isn't just a faster technology, it's a more efficient technology - carriers can pack a lot more bandwidth into any given chunk of spectrum with LTE than they can with older generation technologies. While many of you will laugh at this next statement, the large-scale adoption of LTE will make mobile data cheaper. It won't happen immediately, and yes, most carriers will resist lowering prices with every fiber of their being, but it will happen. That's simply the way competition works. I think, 2 GB is enough.

I would get 4GB. If you go over your data you are charged $15 for each GB that you go over. So if you have 2GB plan and use 3.57GB you will be charged $30 over your normal bill.

  • Would 4gb of data be enough for me? I plan on getting the iPhone 5s sometime within the next 2 weeks or so. With AT&T if it makes a difference. I currently have sprint with unlimited text and data. Since AT&T doesn't do that anymore with data i have to settle for something else. My sprint 3G data is listed at 1, 360, 072 and my sprit 3G data roaming is at 3, 211 both are in KB and I have about another 25 days in my billing period. Would 4gb of data be good for me so I don't go over?
  • With Verizon, can two iphones share a data package of 2GB? I have an iphone right now and it costs $30 for 2 GB of data a month. My mom wants to get rid of her basic keyboard phone and upgrade to an iPhone. But she doesn't want to pay an addtional $30 for her 2 GB of data. Is it possible for her to just use some of my data and join my 2 GB plan?
  • Will I have 4gb after my plan renews? I'm currently on the go phone 60 dollar monthly plan with unlimited text, call, and 2gb of data. I have an iPhone 5c and i ended up using all of my data before it renews. So I added two more gb. I was wondering if they will let me keep the 4gb. I don't think two gb is enough. Ps: I don't have internet at home so I use my data a lot. But I think imma conserve it this time
  • Will 4GB shared data be enough for two iPhone 5's? I'm signing up with Verizon today and getting two iPhone 5's. On average, is 4GB shared data per month enough to compensate for both devices?
