3.5mm male audio cable giving me electric shocks even when unplugged?
I have a Bose Lifestyle 18 home theatre system, and there's a 3.5mm to RCA (not sure if that's the word) L and R ports in the AUX output port on the back. It's been giving me electric shocks by touching the jack, even when the system is unplugged. The steel sides of my iPhone also shocked me when the 3.5mm jack was plugged in.
I'm using a step down transformer for the power.
You lost me at Bose. Don't get em wrong I loved my Bose OE headphones, and out of my 100+ collection of headphones, Bose is still in my top 10, but for anything else, Bose are complete pants.
As for your problem, maybe a power cord regulator of some sort, like the Monster MP HTS 1600
- IPhone shocks/hurts me when I rest my skin on it? So, I have an iPhone 6S. Sometimes, when i'm laying in bed next to it, I like to lay my elbow/forearm/chin/etc on it. But, no matter what phone case I have, it always gives me this painful, sharp, shocking feeling like a bunch of tiny needles, even when not charging. Is this just the electricity, and if so, is there any way to stop it?
- I dropped my iPhone 3GS audio port down into coffee and my audio does not work When I try to turn up my volume it says headphones but my headphones still work. I Tried it on speaker phone it still works how can I get my audio working agen!
- I connected my 3g Iphone using a 3.5mm cable to my PC speakers, connecting one end? Of the cable to my phone and the other end to my speaker outlet slot on my PC! When I play music/radio stations from my Iphone, I hear no sound from my PC speakers! Please tell my what the problem is, and how I can correct it please!
- How to make my own 3.5mm dual audio cable? I want to make my own 3.5mm duel sided audio jack/cable out of old cables or headphones. Only need it one sided though so I guess it's now a dual. I want it so I can connect one side to sterio speakers by wires then I can plug the other side into my iPhone. Without buying the cord and cutting it how could I do this?
