I connected my 3g Iphone using a 3.5mm cable to my PC speakers, connecting one end?

Of the cable to my phone and the other end to my speaker outlet slot on my PC! When I play music/radio stations from my Iphone, I hear no sound from my PC speakers! Please tell my what the problem is, and how I can correct it please!

First, the speaker out slot on your PC is exactly that: An outlet to a pair of speakers. You need to connect directly to the speakers, and not go through the PC. Or, connect to the line in (blue 3.5mm) connection of you PC. Then open the volume control and find the 'line in' slider and make sure that it is not muted.

  • How to make my own 3.5mm dual audio cable? I want to make my own 3.5mm duel sided audio jack/cable out of old cables or headphones. Only need it one sided though so I guess it's now a dual. I want it so I can connect one side to sterio speakers by wires then I can plug the other side into my iPhone. Without buying the cord and cutting it how could I do this?
