Activating an iPhone 5 with verizon?
My phone broke and I want and iphone 5. Verizon has iphones for $199 w/ a two yr contract but I don't want that. I was wondering if I could buy a 16GB iphone 5 for $199 from an apple store and activate it at Verizon and just get month to month payments. Would that work? I have been looking around and I have read things that say i have to have a sims card and something about the phone being locked and contract free? I guess what i want to know if I ordered a iphone from apple could I activate it at Verizon?

--- depends on the wireless carrier, whether this is a GSM Iphone 5 or CDMA iphone 5, and how much you are willing to cough up for the iphone 5… Your post implies you don't want to spend $199… In that case, if you don't choose tmobile as your ONLY carrier, then you are 10000000000000000% screwed!

--- If you told Apple that you want a CDMA Iphone 5 on Verizon, then yes… Again, the crackhead over there's gonna ask you "what Carrier"… And if you have $199+taxes+accept 2year contract, then you will get an activated Iphone 5.

- Why isn't my iphone 3GS activating? Ok, so my iPhone 3GS was unlocked on 5.1.1, and it was jailbroken. I wanted to factory unlock it, so it will be 6.0.1 and still unlock. When the people said my unlock was ready, they told me to update it to 6.0.1. When I tried setting it up and activate it, it won't work. It says we're unable to continue with your activation at this time. Any help would be appreciated.
- Verizon iPhone 5 not activating? I received my new iPhone 5 today and it keeps saying that it isn't activating and to call the Verizon customer support number if the problem persists. Unfortunately it is after business hours and I can't call them until tomorrow. Is there anything that I can do to activate it now? It's recognizing Iphone 5 64gb phone, should I continue activating my phone with the recognized phone?
