Am I able to update and restore my new iPhone XS Max from my IPhone X backup running 12.1.2 iOS?
I just bought a new iPhone XS Max 256gb. I haven't open it, waiting until Christmas.
My current phone is iPhone X 64gb with iOS 12.1.2. Phone is backed up in 3 different drives. ITunes (full backup), iCloud (full backup) and Google photos (just photos)

You may have to update the XS Max to iOS 12.1.2 1st but after that, no problem.
For the record the iTunes & iCloud backups would at least contain the app (Google Photos). They wouldn't store the pictures there. Those are stored in Google's servers & accessible via that app with your log in.
Also the iCloud backup is partial vs the iTunes (on computer) backup which is full. Don't need to use both though.
- Is there a way(without computer)to move my texts from my iPad to my IPhone? ICloud backup? Had to restore phone to last backup and lost texts? Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
- Iphone XS Max feels slow after update to IOS 13.1? This is my first iPhone, I've had it for almost 2 weeks now, out of the box new. And since I got the IOS 13.1 beta 2 days ago, I'm on the beta program, my phone feels slower than before. Like a noticeable difference even when Low-Battery mode is not on. Is there something I can do about this? Btw this is not my first update under the beta.
- If i update my iphone 4 on new computer can i restore it after from a backup? I originally synced my dads iphone (business phone) with my macbook pro and we now have an imac and i need to update the phone on this computer (iMac) to ios 6. I did the backup and then i clicked update but it said "it will erase all data when you update'. If i click continue after the update can i restore the phone from the backup? If so how do i do this? It is crucial that i do this right because i can't loose my dads business info and contacts.
- If i restore jailbroken iPhone 4s running ios 6.1.2, will iTunes update me to 7.0? My device keeps crashing with evasion and winter board installed. The icons are not even there anymore, just in settings. I want to restore my 6.1.2 and redo the jailbreak, but iTunes says it will "install the newest version of iPhone software". I don't want to upgrade to 7.0, just restore the backup of my current os. On a side note, any advice on the best free jailbreaks or ios7-themed mods are greatly appreciated!
