Am i acting like a spoiled brat that doesn't get her way? Be honest please?

Ok, i want your honest opinion, i don't care if it is negative or nice i just want to know if i'm being a spoiled brat and should settle with whatever i get. Ok so my Dad said he was gojng to get me an iphone for my birthday because the phone i have now is messed up an won't charge. Well last minute he tells me he is just going to put a little money on a card so i can use it however i want. I really wanted the iphone and i know he isn't going to put enough money on the card so i can buy one myself… And then he tells me he is also giving my sister money on my birthday… Thats what made me the most pissed. I didn't get anything on my sisters birthday from my dad so isn't that unfair? I think that my birthday shouldnt be all about my sister because it isn't her birthday. My sister always gets the most attention and get high dollar presents, my dad bought her a iphone for her birthday last year but then my sister left it somewhere and it got stolen. So she is already not responsible so why keep getting her more ***? The phone i have now is old and i've had it for 2 years, its finally starting to mess up and i feel that i deserve the new phone. Please help, i'm pissed but then i also feel like i'm acting like a spoiled brat. HONEST OPINION Please!

Your probably spoiled. But its okay because you were raised that way. I was raised without iphones.i've had the same myTouch for 4 years which is amazing because I was raised with the bare minimum and I love being able to text, which is the purpose of phones nowadays, suck it up

You deserve nothing. Agree with you it is unfair. But nowhere is it written that life is (supposed to be) fair. Roll with the punches, the least hurtful.

You're not being a spoiled brat. You feel like you're being treated unfairly, which is true. The fact that you questioned your own behavior objectively let's me know that you're a good person. Selfish people will not do that. I only hang out with people like you. It's nice to know that there are others out there.

In some ways you are acting pretty spoiled, but it's understandable that you're getting angry. The best way to deal with it would be to calmly talk about it with your dad.

To be honest I don't think your being too unreasonable. Although, your dad is just trying to help any way he can so don't be too angry with him, just think about how sweet it is that he tries. And as for the sister thing, I have a big brother and ever since we were little so we wouldn't feel left out, my mum buys us presents on each others birthdays! Just try speaking to your dad and put your points forward in a less direct way as to not aggravate him. Hope this helps!

I understand you! Your dad should ask what YOU want for your birthday, not just what is easier for him to do. If you really want the phone, tell him. And if you have a problem with your sister always getting the high dollar stuff and all that, tell your dad how you feel. It is best to let it all out, although try not to act like a *** as well. My mom always got my brother really good presents on MY birthday while i got cheap dollar store stuff, and i talked to her about it. And she stopped and started getting me the awesome stuff.
