Am i giving a fair deal for this iPhone?

I'm selling an iPhone 5 64GB, unlocked. I listed it for $300 in the Toronto area but the buyer and I settled at $280 cash.

The phone works great. The screen glass is spotless. However, the back has obvious ware and tare on the body paint. Maybe in 6.5/10 condition because of that color blemishes. But can be covered with a case.

Am i ripping this person off?
is it a bad deal, or fair?
if so, what's a fair price?

That's for the buyer to decide.

You list the goods and describe them in the best possible way but without making any false claims, and the buyer examines the goods and asks questions about them which you answer honestly.

As long as you're honest and open and don't deliberately try to deceive or mislead then it's up to the buyer to decide whether the deal is good and to offer what they think is a fair price.

Once you have the buyers money there's no further negotiation as from a legal and moral standpoint the buyer is considered to have accepted the goods.

In short, you asked $300, the buyer thought a good deal was at $280. What anyone else thinks is immaterial: the buyer has already answered your question.
