Anyone who knows about iPhones or battery?
I have an iPod touch 5g, and the lightning charger broke over the summer holidays so I just couldn't be bothered to get another charger until now so it's been dead about two months. I plugged it in and it's just not charging and there's no sign of it charging and won't turn on and its been charging about 30 mins, is this normal or shall I quickly go to the shop and get a replacement?
I also tried with two different adapters and in my laptop.
1
Connect the iPod to your computer. Make sure that your iPod's USB connector is compatible with the USB port of your computer. Connect the iPod to your computer using the USB connector and make sure the connections are secure.
2
Look at your iPod screen when your iPod is connected to your computer. The screen should read that the iPod is connected and the battery icon on the top right corner should be charged when it's fully a green or white color.
3
Turn off your computer's sleep or hibernation mode. Make sure your computer stays on and doesn't go to sleep or into screen saver mode while your iPod is charging. Also, make sure no other devices are charging or in use through other USB ports on your computer.
4
Unplug the iPod from your computer after an hour or longer. Check the battery status bar, which should be a green color to indicate that the battery is charged.
5
Toggle the "Hold" switch off and on to begin resetting your iPod. Then hold down "Menu" and "Center" buttons until you see the Apple logo on the screen. Your iPod is now reset and you should try to charge it again.
6
Connect Apple support if your iPod continues to not charge. A representative will help determine the cause of the problem, which could be a faulty cable connector or USB port on your computer. If your iPod has a warranty and the problem is with the product itself, then you can receive any replacement parts.
Hope this helps.
You will most likely have to get a new battery. Leaving a battery completely dead for a long time is one of the worst things you can do to it. When this is done, you basically kill your battery. Batteries are usually around $80 so be prepared to pay a chunk of change. Try plugging the iPod in an AC adapter and let it sit for about 5 to 6 hours. This sometimes will revive the battery but you have to make sure you don't touch or use the device.
- Who knows more about the App Store? I'm using my parents email and I want to get this game. The game's already been bought and I deleted it from my IPhone. I want the game now, but I don't want my parents to know. Will they still get an email saying I installed the game?
- Who knows anything about music technology/music making computer software? So I basically made a few different iPhone recordings; Voice, two guitar riffs, piano. And I would love to put them all together, I want to make music! Anyone have any idea of safe, preferably free (super broke) music technology software I can download? To mix, add, mess around with different sounds and tracks?
