Anyone who works at an Apple store

I bought an iphone 11 in michigan, usa. And i bought got the applecare warranty. However i live in indonesia now. And the guy at the apple store said, if i break the phone i can take it to the apple store in indonesia and replace it. The phone is completely broken it fell of a 18 story balcony. There's many problems with this because 1. Indonesia doesn't have apple stores, they have apple resale stores called IBOX. 2. I've read all over the internet that the applecare warranty is NOT international. 3. Indonesia does not yet even sell the iphone 11! So how can i replace my badly damaged iphone 11?

I think it will start working again if you just carry it back upstairs. I've seen people cured the exact same way after falling off of mountains and whatnot.

You will have to ship the phone at your expense to someone in the USA and have them place the applecare claim for you. Hopefully you have the version that covers accidental damage.

AppleCare cover DOES apply internationally.

But even though you can register a claim online you have to send or take the iPhone to an official Apple Store or to one of their official "Approved Apple Repair Centers". They repair or replace the iPhone at their sole discretion and you will have to pay a fee. For just a replacement screen the last price I saw was $29 USD, and any other damage costs $99 USD. For damage as bad as you have claimed you will most likely get a complete refurbished iPhone 11 lime yours. If the serial number can't be determined easily then Apple will need time to closely examine the phone to find the number elsewhere. If they suspect fraud or if the phone is so badly damaged that no way exists to uniquely identify it then they will not honor the AppleCare warranty.

As neither of those exist in Indonesia you will have to visit a country where they DO exist. The original salesperson clearly didn't realise that Apple do not have any official presence in Indonesia.
