Apple fanboys: what's so good about iPhones?

They're easy and simple to use. A lot of people prefer their design over others. Others do it for the look and feel

Yep exactly what skyler said.

This video says it all (you need to speak french)

I'm not a apple fanboy, but here goes…

Its simple to use --> I know what you are thinking. How can a phone be simple to use? Well adding all the apps you download onto the home page will mean the person knows where to find it.

#1. The superior industrial design. Apple has basically cornered the market on the CNC milling equipment required to produce devices in large numbers, so no other competitor can make devices out of a solid billet of metal. Their devices are either plastic (like the 5C, which is a mistake) or metal that is screwed together, stamped, or cast (heavy and/or weak). This alone makes iPhones worth the extra cash.

#2. The unrivaled product support. I have a three year old iPhone 4.It got iOS 7 three days ago. Now, the operating system itself may be nothing to write home about, but the continued security and app support isn't. Apple is also pretty generous with their hardware support--usually you can go into a Genius Bar with your problem device and walk out with a new one, no questions asked. I got a couple hundred bucks worth of free stuff from Apple like that last year.

#3. The minimalist approach. Apple since the day of its inception has always been the Lotus of the tech world, simplify and add lightness. To many people, this seems like less features for more money, but really it means better performance in the areas that are essential. Flash was a buggy battery hog from 1998… And now it's gone, not just from Apple but from Internet Exporer, Android Jelly Bean, and Adobe itself.SD card slots add weight, bulk, and are failure prone, and are now absent on most Nexus devices. Apple's releases have been pretty sedate, but that's because they haven't bought into just adding heaps of features for media fanfare which wind up not working in the real world. This also keeps older devices relevant for longer--only the nut bars line up to buy a new iPhone each year.

#4. The simple interface. Sure, this means less customization and features, but it also means that anyone else can pick up your device and navigate through it.

#5. Resale. Sell it quickly for a good price, and it winds up being cheaper than virtually any other phone.

#6. The cool factor. It you don't believe in this, you are dead inside. You'd rather have a Rover 214 than a Porsche 911. No explanation necessary when you own an iPhone, while other phones you pretty much have to rationalize why it is better… Using tech specs that nobody understands and that don't make as much of a difference with a lean software package… Like the Lotus with a 170 HP Toyota engine embarrassing cars with twice the power on the track.
