Apple I'd disabled due to chargebacks?
Ok so I have my dads credit card in my iPhone. So one day I buy a 50 dollar iTunes card and tried to redeem it. I put in
the code and my phone shuts off during the process.Me being a retard i though it went through to the company and threw the card and brough stuff. Turns out
I brought them on my dads credit card.a few months later my apple I'd was disabled. I emailed apple and they said its due to chargebacks received by my credit are company. What does this mean.Am I in for a beating? They said to contact the support team to verify your identity or something like that.
This means your Dad caught you & reported it as fraudulent activity
It means that your dad's credit card is on file at apple. And the phone is under his name (he pays the phone bill), and when you botched adding the iTunes card to the account, and then proceeded to buy stuff on iTunes, Apple charged the credit card they had on file by default. You dad apparently knew nothing of your activity, and thought that his account had been compromised, the credit card company did a chargeback on each purchase you made, and Apple froze the iTunes account because they thought it had been compromised as well.
"What does this mean. "
In short you screwed the pooch on this one.
" Am I in for a beating"
Probably, and I would wager, you're going to be iphoneless for a while as well.
"they said to contact the support team to verify your identity or something like that."
You are going to have to explain what you did to your dad, and your dad is going to have to contact Apple, to explain the situation, and to possibly reinstate his account.
If you're lucky. Had I ever stolen my parents' money, they would have had me arrested--seriously. Kids are so lucky and spoiled today.
- When are updates due to stop for the iPhone 4S? I'm looking at getting an iPhone 4S on a 2-year contract soon. However, now the iPhone 5 is out I know that they stop updates on the older iPhone devices, e.g. The iPhone 3G(s) can no longer receive a lot of the new updates. If I get the 4S on a 2-year contract will the updates etc.stop within this time?
