Apple Mobile device won't install?
I have finally after 4months of trying downloaded itunes but if i plug my ipod or iphone 4s into my laptop to buy music and apps itunes won't sycnerise(sorry i don't no how to spell it) them and when i try to repair it it flashes up with a message saying " service apple mobile device failed to start." and they have buttons down the bottom saying ignore and retry and i have retried so many times and it still won't download mobile device. I have also uninstalled itunes but when ever i try to reinstall it either it doesn't reinstall or it just won't install apple mobile device and yes before you ask i do properly uninstall everything.
First thing is, are you restarting your PC after the uninstall? This can cause problems if you try to re-install without rebooting.
It also sounds like either there's something wrong with your device or most likely a driver issue.
What Operating System are you running? Mac? Windows? I'm going to presume Windows.
Does your iPhone/ iPod list in My Computer as a digital camera?
Try re-installing the device drivers by heading to Device Manager. Click start, right click on My Computer, Click Manage. Find your iPhone under Device Manager somewhere and right click uninstall.
- Will my jailbreak on one device transfer to another device via iTunes? So I bought an iPhone 5 today and I'm afraid to sync it to my Apple ID/ iTunes because my 8GB iPod is also synced to that iTunes account and its jailbroken. I don't want my jailbroken iPod to affect my iPhone 5. Will it affect it? I don't think it will but I just want to make sure before I sync it for the first time.
- Why won't Apple ever create a device that is sd card compatible? I don't get it. Apple products like the iPod & iPhone never come with extra SD card storage. Its quite unfair of them cause they force you to use their Cloud Wi-Fi storage service & I don't want to. Other leading organisations like Samsung offer expandable storage with SD cards in their galaxy range. Why are apple so reluctant to make iPods & iPhones that can take SD cards?
- This iphone can't be used because the apple mobile device is not started? I just got my iphone about 1 week ago and it's brand new! The first time i tried to plug it into my computer and open itunes it got that error message: This iphone can't be used because the apple mobile device is not started. I never had this problem with my ipod and nano but with the iphone i do.
- How do you stop calls coming from one device coming to your device from iCloud (apple iPhone)? I'm 13 and i don't have a credit card so i use my mums account and since my phone and her phone has the same icloud, her calls come into MY phone and i've tried making a new apple id but it won't work so how can i stop it (i've already logged out on my phone) so how can i stop it?
