Apple store In Nagoya Japan?

I want to buy an iphone 4s. I'm already using a softbank smartphone. I do not want to change my current phone number. If i go to Apple store in Nagoya (near Matzusakaya), will i be able to buy, only an iphone without the network package and connection, if i pay the full amount for the phone?

I'm a Japanese.

I do not have an iPhone, but as far as I know, you can use iPhone on softbank network. There's no need to change phone number at all.
(However, it is said that softbank SIM for Android phones and softbank SIM for iPhones are incompatible[!] and you need to exchange SIMs)

There's a service called "Mobile Number Portability" ("MNP"). Thus, even if you want to change your service provider from softbank to au, you do not have to change your phone number.

  • Where is the best place to buy an iPhone 4s: the Verizon store or the Apple store? I don't have an upgrade until January but am looking to buy an iPhone soon. I've been looking at the various sites and saw that there was a huge price difference between the Apple and Verizon stores. A rep at the Verizon store told me I wouldn't even have to change my existing plan, but just pay the $449 for the phone. Why would I buy an iPhone 4s from Verizon for $449.99 when they're sold on the Apple website for $99?
  • Verizon store or apple store for a new iphone 5? Verizon said I can get an Iphone 5 for "Using my upgrade + $199).Is it true that I can get an iphone 5 at the apple store for $199? If true, Why would I use an upgrade at verizon and pay the same amount for the phone?
  • Should I buy my iPhone at the Apple Store or the Verizon store? The plans and the phones themselves cost the exact same; the difference is the care plan. I just can't decide which one is best for me and I definitely want some sort of plan. Apple care is an upfront cost, but it is cheaper. I don't know how long either last, or which one takes care of the customers the best. Any opinions?
  • Is it better to buy the iphone from the apple store or from verzion store? I'm thinking to of getting the Iphone but i go on the apple website and they make it sound cheaper. Then i go to the verizon website and they make it sound more expensive. Which one should i go with?
