I know trains running every few minutes. So If someone stands close to platform edge a drops a gadget like Iphone, and reaches over to grab it back, will he or she get struck?

I'm assuming your in US, but in Russia even our village idiots know how to use the Metro. We know that in US you like to push each other off platforms and take pics… Thus you need warning labels.
