Why can't I get 4G on my Verizon iPhone 4, even in cities?

I'm in NYC and my friends with the same phone and same service get 4G and I don't? At the top left corner of their screens it says Verizon 4G. But my phone just says Verizon 3G. Even when I'm in areas with 4G coverage. I was in the middle of NYC and still didn't get 4G! Also my iPhone 4 is currently up to date.

It does not matter what the phone displays. All Verizon iphone 4 and 4S do NOT have 4G LTE capabilities. Even Verizon says so on their web site.

  • Why does my iPhone 4s data get throttled over even if I'm on Wi-Fi? Sorry for the stupid question but google gave me nothing. I have AT&T and I'm over 3GB so my data is being throttled. However, I found that it was even getting throttled when on my home Wi-Fi network. I turned off cellular data and it was almost ten times faster. Anyone have any clue as to why this would happen?

I just got a new phone samsung galaxy s4 I have downloaded all my old apps from my old phone (iphone 3gs) onto my new phone but when I download camelot and opened it I have a completly new city how do I get my other 2 cities back?   • Is there a way I can switch to Verizon edge even though my 2-year contract isn't up? My poor iPhone 5c has a cracked screen and some of the letters are really hard to use with the screen! I never got Applecare or any type of I've had my iPhone for a 18months (1year & 5months) and I was wondering is it an option to upgrade early and participate with Verizon edge plan even though my two year contract isn't up? I've heard of something called the early edge and is that still available with Verizon or no? (Please NO RUDE COMMENTS!)
