Are my photos suppose to be saved to iCloud? I'm a little confused please help 😬?
On my phone I see the "ICloud photo library" is turned off and I'm not sure what that is or should I even turn it on?! Please help I have an iPhone 8 Plus
My iPhone won't back up because it saids I'm out of storage but where are all my photos saved too? I'm confused please help
IClould is meant as a sharing service for your photos -- you can see all your photos on your other Apple devices -- and not a photo backup service. If you want photo/video backup, you should use the Google Photos app. It's free. Your photos and videos are automatically saved there and you delete them from your phone if you want. They'll still be in Google Photos and you can view them or download them any time you want.
Yes, every iPhone owner should be taking advantage of iCloud, it'll give you online access to a copy of most of your vital stuff, such as your contacts, calendar and photos. And if you connect the same Apple ID to your Mac or a PC running iCloud for Windows your stuff will be automatically copied down. Very handy. Once you get that activated, enable "Optimize iPhone Storage" and your phone's photos will be converted to a smaller but still useful size to save space.
A couple of caveats: If you take a lot of photos you'll bump into iCloud's free storage limit. You can either pay $1/month for extra space or copy your photos to another place and cut down what you keep in your iCloud ecosystem. Also, when you delete something from iCloud it's deleted from all your devices with a 30 day trash folder.

- If Skype is dying off, what are you suppose to use? For video chatting other then FaceTime? Since not everyone owns an iPhone and it would be nice to video call anyone to any phone (iPhone or android) or any computer or tablet. That was the beauty in Skype.
