Are people really going crazy over iPhone 6?

I heard on the radio station that people are camping over it. Is a phone really that powerful to the mind of a human being?

Added (1). I think I'll stick to what I have. I just didn't think that a phone could be that powerful. I'm kind of surprised I'm not affected by this.

Added (2). Well I'm starting to worry that if others get affected then the same would happen to me.

Powerful to the mind of a human? Not sure what that means.

There are always going to be people who are obsessed with somethings more than everybody else. For some people it's professional sports. For others it's the latest boy band. And for others it's the latest iPhone.

And still for others it's harping on people with those obsessions.

I don't think it is all that special IMO. Its just a piece of metal but for some reason it controls some people's lives. Now, it's all a gimmick to get people to FALL IN LOVE with the phone. Now, i have a phone, but if you are getting a phone, I recommend an Android. But note i recommend an Android, to use, and not to control your life.

IPhone 6 & android both are completely different. Android is the future. Why crying over an iphone then? Buy galaxy s4.

People have camped out for the iPhone since the original back in 2007. Nothing new there. Some people don't do it so much for the phone itself but the experience. Hell some simply are doing it because they are getting paid to do so.
