Are there any iPhone radio apps that don't eat your Internet allowence?

I used tune-in radio iPhone app and in a couple days my 1gig internet was used. It normally lasts me the month. Are there any iPhone radio apps that don't use your internet allowance and if so what are they called?

If you don't want to use your data allowance, then find a Wi-Fi hot spot and use that. All apps that stream music need some sort of data connection or else how would they work?

Any app that streams will use Internet. There's no way around that. Some may use less and some may use more. There are also some settings that allow you to stream at a lesser qaulity which will use less data but a radio app will always use data because the iPhone doesn't have a fm receiver. The only way for it to not use your data is to either be on Wi-Fi or download a podcast/music into the phone in advance.

Using 1 GB just from a radio app in a few days sounds very unusual though.

You might try TuneIn Radio App
hope this will be of some help!

TuneIn Radio is not free (although it does have an add-supported free version that lacks a few of the features), but it is fairly cheap, especially for what it gives you. It's a universal app, so you can use it on your iPhone and iPad, and you can choose from over 40, 000 stations so there's a good chance that the station you want to listen to is going to be here. It has a full array of Canadian stations (and others from around the world for that matter), too, for any Canadians that feel a little left out of the Internet Radio Revolution (we're still waiting for Pandora, after all). Plus, you can also use the app as an alarm clock. You've basically got all the bells and whistles here: live radio pause, search, sleep timer, built-in web browser, and station recording. If you don't mind paying $1.99 for all this, TuneIn is a pretty comprehensive solution and a well-crafted app.

I doubt there would be any app that won't use internet.

  • Is there any apps to see when your phone has been opened and what apps where opened when? (On IPhone)? So my friends have been snooping on my I phone 6 and close out all the apps they have gone on afterwards. I don't mind them snooping because I have nothing I don't mind them seeing but I want to be able to see what apps they opened. Is there any apps to see when your phone has been opened and what apps where opened?
  • How to improve the FM radio reception on my iHome radio? I have an iHome docking station. It's an alarm clock / radio / iPod or iPhone dock. I would love to improve the FM radio reception on it, but it seems everyone recommends an external antenna. I just think it's a little unnessasary for me to purchase one just for my alarm clock radio in my bedroom. Any other suggestions? Thanks! (ps, the antenna on it isn't your typical metal one. It is more of a long, flexible wire)
  • Does using Internet on my iPhone eat up memory? Not using Wi-Fi! Just the Internet data I get every month, if I continue to use it will it take up phone memory?
  • Do big companies eat there own dog food? What I mean by that is do big companies use there own products. E.g does Tim cook (CEO of apple) own a ipod, iphone or ipad, does bill gates own a windows surface tab, windows phone or a microsoft related product, does james dyson own a dyson vacum etc Just wondering as they make, market and design the product surely they should use or own it.
