Are there any texting apps a strict parent wouldn't catch? (read details)?
This girl and I like each other but it has been kind of awkward because she isn't allowed to have any social media. Also, she doesn't have a phone number. We used to talk on Kik but that stopped because she had to delete it. I have a Samsung phone and she has an iPhone. I'm wondering if there's a way we can text without her parents catching it. If not is there a way a Samsung and an iPhone can facetime or something.
FaceTime is proprietary to Apple devices. There's no way you can use it on your Android phone. You'll need to use an alternative, like Skype or Google Hangouts. I don't know what her parents use to monitor her, so I can't guarantee that those other alternative apps will work, or for how long.
You won't score many points with her parents by trying to sneak around their rules. Chances are pretty high they pay for the phone and service, so as long as that is happening, you'll need to play by their rules.
I don't know the entire situation and we don't know how old either of you are, but the easiest way is to meet the 'rents, start hanging around the house when her parents are there (NEVER when they are not there) so they get to know you, be a good person (offer to help do stuff), treat their daughter well and, after a couple of months, ask them if they would be OK if the two of you texted…
Agree with "Master of Puppets" that FaceTime is iOS-only. FaceTime is not a "texting app" or a "social media" app. It is a video-calling app between iOS and MacOSX devices (computers, iPads, iPhones).
iMessage can send/receive text messages whether iOS, Android or other test feature/service.
My experience: After we broke up (in high school), her dad still wanted to go for lunch/coffee with me and while it was a little odd that her parents and I spoke fairly regularly, she and I did not speak at all. Her brother and sisters thought it was pretty odd, too…

- Will any SIM card work on my iPhone 7? (read details)? I recently purchased an iPhone 7 on eBay and I can't really do anything to it. It's on the setup screen and when I try to get past it, it says "SIM Required". The phone is Sprint locked, I believe. I don't really have the money at the moment to buy an overpriced SIM card from Sprint + activation. Does anyone know if I buy any Micro SIM, will it work? IS there anything I can do without spending a bunch of money? ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE APPRECIATED!
- I had to restore my iPhone because the iPhones store app wouldn't show up in any of my apps. Now that I restored it I have to download? All of my music again. When I click on the clouds to download it the spinning circles will come up and act like its gonna download for a little bit but then just stops and goes back to the clouds. None of my music will download. And my phones acting up now. Does anyone know how to fix this?
