Backing up iPhone to iCloud?

If I back up my iPhone to iCloud, does that mean I can reset my phone & then put everything back onto it exactly how it was before I reset it?

You can only backup the data following:
-Photos and videos in the Camera Roll
-Device settings (for example: Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts)
-App data
-Home screen and app organization
-Messages (iMessage, SMS, and MMS)
-Ringtones
-Visual Voicemails

so once you reset it, only those things can be restore. But if you update from ios5 to ios6 and try to restore it to ios 5, it can't be done.

  • Will turning off iCloud Backup after backing up iPhone delete data? So I'm about to get a new iPhone and going to transfer everything via iCloud Backup. I have never done this since i've been having the same iPhone for years now. My question is, if I back up my entire data on iCloud, backup my phone and then turn off the setting, would it delete everything in my new phone?
  • Will my iphone apps still be saved if I replace the screen without backing up data on the icloud? I tried backing up my data on icloud a few days ago, but some apps did not backup because it said it needed a certain amount of space on my phone to do so. My screen is now damaged, and I will get it replaced. Will my messages and apps still be on there once the new screen is installed?
  • Why is my iphone not backing up to iCloud? When I try to back up my iphone it says backing up, estimating time remaining then stops. What do I do?
  • Restoring iPhone and backing it up? -Well my iPhone 4S has been going in and out of 3G to the no service circle a lot lately so I've read it's Apple recommended to restore your iPhone. -Now, my iPhone is backed up on my computer, but my question is, when I restore my iPhone back to factory default, am I still allowed to back it up after the restore so I don't lose all my contacts (300 contacts), pictures, etc. -Idk I'm a total noob when it comes to backup and restore for the iPhone: p.
