Best secure app/site to sell cellphone + what are signs of a scam?
I want to sell an iphone but I don't want to be scammed either since it's my first time. What are some websites/apps you ve had good experiences with and what are some warning signs I should look out for a scam?
Also, if someone says their only way of paying me is with a personal check, is that legit? Should I be wary?
Accept cold, hard cash only.
anything else is likely a scam.
Only meet someone in a public place and only accept cash.
Any emails offering to send you a check or pay via PayPal in exchange for you shipping it somewhere are scams. The scammers may even offer to pay you more than you are asking. Just ignore them. Some scammers may even claim to live near you but are "out of town" temporarily and want you to ship to a family member. Ignore them.
< if someone says their only way of paying me is with a personal check >
There's no reason they can't pay in cash other than they are potentially planning on scamming to. Way too easy to make fake checks today.
Personal check? That's a giant no no. Cash only.
- Why does Apple say that the iPhone 5S is more secure with Touch ID? My friend has an iPhone 5S, and he has Touch ID turned on. On the lockscreen when I swipe to the right, the passcode screens comes up and I simply input his pass code and voila. How is the iPhone 5S more secure than any other iPhone since it still has that 4 digit passcode system? Without mentioning that I also replaced his fingerprints with mine since I have his passcode, so now both of our fingers work.
- What is the best rewards site or app? I like rewards site such as bing rewards and xbox live rewards. I was wondering if anyone knows of other really good rewards site or app. I used to love app trailers on the iphone because you could watch videos but it is no longer on the app store. Thank you. Oh and i already have the Offer Rewards app on my iphone so please don't mention that option.
- What is the best cellphone provider for this situation? College student graduating in a year with no job and some money saved. Have iphone, but don't care about model except it has to have LTE other than that i'm fine with any model with it. Only use it for occasional calls and texts, but mostly daily browsing and reading via safari. What would be the best provider for my situation? At the moment on my parents verizon plan, but not sure if verizon is the best for my situation, any suggestions?
- Trying to unlock iPhone but can't find proper non-scam site? I'm trying to unlock my iPhone 4 locked to Telstra. I bought it on ebay so I don't have contact with the seller. I Can't find a cheaper way to unlock it than the $60 apple solution, I've seen a few sites that have lower prices but I can't be sure of the legitimacy of it. Anyone know a good site with some good rep that can unlock it for cheap? Please!
