Black and white lines on iPhone 6 screen?

My iPhone 6 battery was due for a replacement because I could hardly use it for 5 seconds before it dying. I have replaced my own battery before and did it again without a hitch today. However, I noticed when I tired to type the letter "s" it would type both "a" and "d" at the same time as well as when I tried to type "z" it would use the caps button and "b". So I figured I would just disconnect the screen ribbons and reconnect them to a tighter fit and now when I turn the phone on all it shows are black and white lines. I have attempted over 20 times of disconnecting and reconnecting the cables but it still shows the same thing. I even tried disconnecting the battery and repeating but no dice. Is there something I'm doing wrong or did I just damage the motherboard?

You damaged something. Exactly what I can't tell

  • My iphone screen cracked and now has black lines going through it I dropped my phone and the screen now has this fuzzy look with all different color lines on the screen. The touch censors still work. So will i only need to get the screen replaced or is the phone destroyed?
  • My iphone has black and white lines? And its unresponsive? I tried to take off the screen and put it back but when i turned it on it was unresponsive and has black and white lines.
  • IPhone screen black with lines? My phone screen is cracked and I assume water vapour got into it since it was in the bathroom during a shower. The screen turned black with lines after that when I tried to use it so I immediately turned it off and put it in rice. Is the phone completely broken and its a waste of time to put it in rice? How long should I leave it in rice if it should stay in there? It is not easy for me to get a new one so I'm really hoping to fix it.
  • Iphone has white screen black apple logo frozen it occasionally goes black then that screen shows up again screen went red once? I held the home and power buttons and it showed me that the battery was super low with the little red lines hasn't shown me that since now it's just frozen on black apple logo with white background and the screen flickers occasionally i've had it plugged into the wall charging for 2 hours now and still nothing should I go get it looked at by apple or do I just leave it charging longer?
