Bluetooth issue - 2009 BMW 328i?

No matter how long I wait, the bluetooth on my iDrive keeps searching and can find nothing! A couple times I actually saw the "Add New Phone" option, but then it disappears and keeps searching again. No result.

Any idea?

I'm trying to pair my iPhone 5 with BMW 328i. It does not give the option to add new phone.

I would make sure that the phone's is set to "discoverable". The car will only try to connect to devices in discoverable mode. If you still have a problem ask your service advisor at the dealer and they should help you out.

  • Which USB can I use with my 2009 CTS? I've been looking to download some music onto a flash drive since my CTS won't recognize my iphone and I wouldn't want to keep it in there anyways. I was just curious about the process of putting the music onto the flash drive and then playing it through the car… I obviously use iTunes for all of my music and assume that it's compatible with the car. Also are there any USBs that aren't compatible? What are some that work without a doubt.

I have recently brought a Samsung Galaxy S4 and when i sync with bluetooth to the car, my phonebook doesn't appear on the centre screen in the car. I previously had an Iphone and it worked perfectly.   • My husband's 2009 Prius auxillary isn't working? My husband's 2009 auxiliary isn't working. We have auxiliary service that used to work then stopped when I used it with my iphone. It doesn't even show up on the screen when the car is turned on with his Iphone. There isn't any info in the handbook on the car. How do we activate it?
  • Kenwood X996 Bluetooth Audio Issue? Installed a kenwood x996 in my truck. After install I got the bluetooth audio to work. Directly out of the box it only works through the front speakers. Not the rear or subs. I did get it to work by changing I think to zone 1 but I don't remember. My battery died and reset the head unit and now i can't get it to work. I have an iPhone 4 if that helps anyone.
