Blurry vision, floaters etc?

Hi. I have really bad eyesight but don't wear glasses (even though I have 4 pairs lying around). I'm supposed to wear them when I'm looking at stuff far away like driving but I'm only 15 so don't drive. I get lots of floaters so I'm wondering if that has something to do with my poor eyesight. My vision is so bad I literally have to be 15cm away from my iphone to see the screen and can't see anything in school!

I would go see an opthamologist and have them do an eye checkup

Floaters aren't related to your eyesight. Is there a reason you are not wearing your glasses?

Eye floaters are small moving spots that appear in your field of vision. They may be especially noticeable when you look at something bright, such as white paper or a blue sky.

Eye floaters can be annoying, but they generally don't interfere with your sight.

Occasionally a particularly large eye floater may cast a subtle shadow over your vision. But this tends to occur only in certain types of light.

Most of the time people learn to live with eye floaters and ignore them. And they often improve over months to years. Only rarely do benign eye floaters become bothersome enough to consider treatment.

But sometimes eye floaters are a sign of a more serious condition. You should seek immediate medical attention if you notice a sudden increase in the number of eye floaters.

Immediate medical attention is especially important if the floaters are accompanied by flashes of light or a loss of side vision. If you have these symptoms, see an eye doctor right away. Without immediate treatment, you can have permanent vision loss. These symptoms may be caused by:

Retinal detachment
Retinal tear
Bleeding within the eye

p.s:- i do think the problem that you don't wear your glasses is that you didn't get used to wearing you glasses yet or someone gave a negative comment on it or it just irritates your eyes.
since you don't wear your glasses and have a poor vision, i assume that you might be suffering from alot of eye pain and headaches.

You are straining your eyes by not wearing your glasses. As for the floaters, do they look like black dots? If so, it is possible a blood vessel somewhere has been leaking blood into your vitreous humor and you are seeing the blood cells. This could be due to a retinal tear, which is not uncommon with people who suffer from severe nearsightedness. The reason is that people with this condition usually have elongated eyes, which means the retina is more stretched and fragile, leading to small tears and rips (imagine your retina as a thin piece of paper). Get it checked as soon as possible, as it can lead to further conditions such as retinal detachment if left untreated. Assuming nothing has torn or hemhorraged, monitor the floaters so that if they begin to get worse suddenly, seek medical attention promptly. However, many people suffer with floaters, so as long as they don't multiply, you should be fine.
