Bought more storage, iPhone not using it?
I bought 20GB of iCloud storage last night and backed it up today but still it won't let me even take a picture or get a new app because "there's no storage." That doesn't make sense. What do I do?
Added (1). Do I have to manually move things into the cloud or will it do it automatically?
ICloud is a remote cloud-based storage solution. You may have to make backups of your current stuff, and then remove the apps and content you don't really need locally on your phone. By default it should do regular backups automatically unless if you have set it to backup manually to your computer with iTunes.
Note: remote cloud-based or external storage does NOT replace internal storage in mobile devices as it's not always available (requires a constantly reliable Internet connection) and too slow for the average I/O operation (loading apps and other system files).
- What to do about my iphone storage saying I'm using up way more photo storage than I actually am? My storage says I have 132 photos that's using up most of my storage; almost 3 GB. I have only 52 photos and 15 videos in my phone. It seems like it may be using storage from pictures I deleted, but apparently they're still using space? ? Has this happened to anyone else. I've taken my phone to an apple store, and I didn't get any answers.
- On the I cloud on the Iphone what does total storage and available storage mean? Basically it says total storage 5gb and availible storage 5 gb. Does that mean there's already 5 gb of files on the Icloud?
- IPhone storage full but iCloud storage not? I'm in the Navy and I'm going on deployment soon so, I'm racking up on stuff like movies and music so I won't be bored during deployment… I'm 3 seasons in on downloading stuff on Netflix and it says my storage is full… I deleted a lot of useless apps and music already and I downloaded a few more then it happened again… I see my iCloud storage is very empty but my phone storage is too full… How can I fix this.
- My iPhone has ran out of storage and I just deleted a lot of photos and videos and there's still no storage So I moved a whole lot of photos and videos to iCloud Drive and deleted them off the phone itself to clear space up but it still says there's no storage left. Please help me to know what's wrong and what to do so I can clear up space.
