I've got a new iPhone, the previous owner purchased it from Bell mobility and it's locked. The owner never actually activated the phone its sealed. I'm being told that since the phone is locked I need to enter the same sim card as the carrier that it's locked to, I'm with a different carrier. I called up Apple and they told me not to worry about that and that I just had to get the phone unlocked and then it'll activate with any carrier? Online unlocking websites say otherwise?
They're right. You've to unlock the phone and then activate it with whichever carrier you want. There are many online service for unlocking, some reasonable and some overpriced. If you need help with getting your Bell iPhone factory unlocked at reasonable price, mail me for more info.
- Stolen iPhone 6 brand new sealed? So my neighbor bought a brand new sealed iPhone 6 (virgin mobile). It was delivered to his address but it was stolen before he had a chance to receive it. Is their anyway he can track the iPhone when someone activates it? Or any chances of recover it?
- Sealed iphone off craigslist? I'm looking at a sealed new old stock iphone off craigslist. What should i look out for, should check, and should ask the seller about? If it was stolen from a store would the imei or other numbers indicate it as such? Being sealed in box are the chances of the phone being ok/legit much better than a typical used, as-is, phone? Should i open the box and test it out right there in front of the seller?
- Sealed iPhone from USA to Europe? I'm in USA and i bought an iPhone. It is mine, and i want to take it to Europe by plane. The thing is, i want to go with it still sealed (my nephiew wants to see it brand-new). Can i go through check in without paying any taxes? I don't think i have to declare anything, since it's my phone. It is not intended for selling or something. Or i have to unseal it just to be sure that they won't charge anything extra?
