Bricked iphone 3gs after jailbreak?
After jail breaking my iphone 3gs with iOS 5.1.1 using redsn0w worked fine for 2 days then left it on table and when i came back to it, it was off. It doesn't turn on, computer won't recognize it, it won't charge, can't put it in DFU mode, tried holding power and home button at the same time for like 2 minutes nothing happenedand it was plugged in to itunes. Someone help please. I have been reading a lot of other advice online and nothing seems to work thanks.
Download tinyumbrella. It can detect your device and fix it.
The software was probably infected by a virus, you'll need to clean sweep the phone, and restore to factory settings
First, are you sure you put it in DFU mode properly? Here is a step by step guide:

If it still doesn't work after following those instructions, try to use a different USB cord. The cord could just be broken. If that still doesn't help, try charging it with something else. Try using a different computer, or a gaming console to charge it.
Also, when you plug it in, do you see a silver apple on a black background, a "connect to itunes" sign, or a "connect to power source" sign?
Try all of this, and also answer the questions above, and I will try to help you further. Also, the problem was probably that you used a jailbreak for a different firmware other than 5.1.1. Be more careful in the future, and make sure you download a jailbreak for the correct firmware.
