Buy a new phone or try to fix my current one?
A few weeks ago I dropped my iPhone 6s (owned for less than 9 months) in the toilet at a buddy's house. I dried it off as quick as I could but some damage was already done. At this current moment the volume up button and volume down button both turn down the volume. My service goes in and out and my battery drains faster than usual. Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do. Is it possible to buy the same phone (paid for in full)? How would that affect my current contract/plan? I would be willing to pay for a new phone if the hassle of fixing my current one is not worth it.
I'm assuming you did not purchase insurance with your phone?
Buying a new phone shouldn't affect your plan - but if your contract is not up (likely wouldn't be after just 9 months) then you probably will have to pay in full.
Honestly I would fix your current phone - it would be cheaper - and if I were you, I would get insurance on your next phone.
- With my new iPhone 7 plus if I set it up as a new phone instead of moving my iCloud data to the new phone would I lose my? Unlimited data plan and phone number or would that still be there I already put my SIM card in 10 points
- If I buy a new phone and restore my phone will a virus transfer to the new phone? I believe my iPhone has a virus but I'm not sure. I'm due for a new phone anyways but I need to know that if I do have a virus on my current phone, will it transfer with my information and data to my new phone?
- How to switch from my current iTunes account to a new one on my iPhone? I currently share my own iTunes account with my mom, sister, and brother. It gets really annoying at times because i don't want to download apps like piano, racing games, and weird picture editors. Is there anyway that i can transfer to another itunes account on my iPhone (sorry, forgot to mention) without ruining their items? Also, will my phone be reset if i do switch it? Please help me. I just can't take the sharing of my own acount anymore.
- Use current phone SIM card to activate old iCloud locked phone? I found my old iPhone 6 and I have a new iPhone 6. I don't know where the Sim card is for my old one. Can I use the same card from my current iPhone 6 and put it in my old iPhone 6 to activate it and then take it out? After I activate it will I be able to take out the Sim card and put it back the my current phone and have two WORKING phones (one with out and with SIM card) without it deactivating or messing up my current phone?
