Buy an AT&T IPhone 5 from the apple store then unlock it?
Would it save me money to buy an AT&T iPhone 5 then go unlock it? Does anyone see where this plan could go wrong or is it good?
I'm not sure about where you are, but here the iphone's directly from the apple store are unlocked already, even if you buy a contract with it or a PAYG sim.
Apples iphone 5 are unlocked and cost $899
Totally makes sense if you leave the country and want to use your phone abroad. You can buy a sim card in most countries for about a dollar and the pre load it. Then go to the app store and get bobsled.a free calling service operated by t mobile and call to us Canada or puerto rico for free you can also use the bobsled text app. All free.
From all my experience in the iPhone and unlocking area, I definitely recommend getting a good deal on a LOCKED AT&T iPhone 5 (which has at least been activated once) and then getting it factory unlocked from any reputable online provider like iPhoneUnlockedCheap.com or any other factory unlock provider. It saves a lot of money and increases the value of your iPhone. Unlocked iPhone 5s prices are inflated.
- Would I be able to buy an iPhone 5s from a T-Mobile store and then activate the $30 prepaid plan? Like can I buy the phone at the store and activate it or do I have to buy the phone at Walmart while I get the plan.
- Where is the best place to buy an iPhone 4s: the Verizon store or the Apple store? I don't have an upgrade until January but am looking to buy an iPhone soon. I've been looking at the various sites and saw that there was a huge price difference between the Apple and Verizon stores. A rep at the Verizon store told me I wouldn't even have to change my existing plan, but just pay the $449 for the phone. Why would I buy an iPhone 4s from Verizon for $449.99 when they're sold on the Apple website for $99?
- Should I buy my iPhone at the Apple Store or the Verizon store? The plans and the phones themselves cost the exact same; the difference is the care plan. I just can't decide which one is best for me and I definitely want some sort of plan. Apple care is an upfront cost, but it is cheaper. I don't know how long either last, or which one takes care of the customers the best. Any opinions?
