Buying a iPhone on eBay that is already assigned to a network?

I'm considering buying a new (and still sealed in the box) iPhone from eBay that is already assigned to the Orange network.

What is the best (and easiest) way to transfer ownership in order to prevent the seller from blocking the sim or other such activities?

Not sure that there's.
They have the sales receipt, and even without it,
their credit card, name and address is attached to the original purchase.

if the phone was on a 24 month contract,
then it belongs to the network till it is paid off, and if they fail to pay, it will be barred.

The simplest way might be to get them to unlock it,
if it is unlocked, it should mean that it is no longer tied to a contract.
At which point, Orange may allow the original owner to transfer the ownership to you, but it would the owner requesting Orange to do that.

  • Wi-Fi on iPhone keeps saying unable to join network (my network name)? How can I fix this! It's been like this for a week but it works on my laptop fine. I tried unplugging it for a few seconds, I tried resetting network settings, I tried turning my phone off then on again, and I know I'm typing it right. I even typed it in upper case AND lower case. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
  • What's the difference between off-network and on-network? I'm try to work out which is best for what I want out of the service. I want protection while on my iPhone 5 (both when connected via Wi-Fi and when roaming on 3/4G). Website with product details: http://www.umbrella.com/products/umbrella-security-features/
  • Looking for a way to evenly share network speed in a house network? So my problem is that I play games online, that need a good ping. Whenever anyone from any other computer goes to load a video on youtube in a high quality, it takes up all the speed, gives me more than 400 ping and just pretty much cuts everyone else out. Is there a way to share the network evenly between every user? Our download speed is about 6mb/s, so if we have 4 active users, i'd like it to share it like 1.5mb/s each.
