Camera roll in relation to other albums, iOS7?

If I have photos separated by albums and delete them from the camera roll will it delete them from the albums as well? If so, can I delete them from the camera roll and still have them in the separate albums
if I hook my iPhone up to the computer and delete them that way?

The Camera Roll is a temporary holding place for images and video captured by the iPhone. Sync with your computer and get the images/video from Camera Roll to whatever album you want. After the sync, the items in the camera roll can be deleted.

This is not unlike the days of film cameras… The "Camera Roll" is the film in the camera. Send the unprocessed film for processing and making a print… And placing the print in a photo album. If you open the camera and expose the film to light before processing you essentially destroyed the film (and hence the photo basically making it trash).

If you delete the image in the camera roll before putting the image in an album, then the image is gone. If you transferred the photo to the album, then the photo is copied to the computer - and deleting the photo from the camera roll is OK - because the photo is in the album.

BUT… THIS IS EASY FOR YOU TO TEST. Take a picture using your iPhone. See it in the Camera roll. Do nothing with it and it stays in the camera roll. Delete it and it is deleted from the iPhone. Gone. Take another picture using your iPhone. See it in the Camera roll. Send it to an album. Delete it in the Camera roll. Tell us what happened.
