Can a text free app on the iPhone be traced?

A couple of our friends were just hanging out and we decided to prank text a who's number we got, we're all 16 and live in washington. We text her and we decide to try to get some nude pictures (knew we werent going to get it) we text her pretending that we have a secret on her and not to much convincing later and she sends a pic but she has her bra and underwear on. Later on, she texts back and says she's going to call the cops. So can they trace it back to us? Even if we change the text free number? And delete the picture? And delete the app? Could charges be avoided?

Everything can be traced, and your phone has an IP so your carrier knows exactly what comes and goes from your phone no matter what you do on it. It would be foolish to think otherwise.

  • Why would Sprint text me a link for a free iPhone 5s that is not entirely free? 1. I received a text message from Sprint stating that I qualify for a free iPhone 5s. 2. I called Sprint's 1-800 number and confirmed with them on three separate occasions the phone was free and there would be no change to my bill. 3. They sent me the phone and upon activation tell me that my bill will go up $15 plus tax. Obviously, I returned the phone. The charge would make my bill go up $15 per month plus tax.
  • Using stolen Iphone.is it risky? Can you be traced? I hope to hear some technical explanations, not the moral lectures… there are just so many iphones being sold on the street without boxes, just the phone and the charger and the price is really so tempting… I'm really curios about the risks…
  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
  • How was this traced from another Iphone? I've got a add on contract to my sisters Iphone. Sent an IMessage to my girlfriend 3 weeks ago. I didn't think they were traceable but my sister plugged her iphone into the computer and somehow found my message to my girlfriend on there and could read it as well? It was only one message she could see though… We send iMessages all day. How on earth was it traced?! And withheld calls were listed as well? How the hell?
