Can breathing in a bad smell cause Lung cancer?
This question is something my friend wanted me to ask.
He has a pet rat who cage smells really bad it's been like that for a little over a week (your supposed to change it once a week but he has been sick ) and he has been laying in bed smelling it for the past week, this isn't the first time it has smelt bad before and he was wondering if it cud seriously harm him (sorry for spelling errors I'm writing this quickly on my iPhone)
No. I don't thing rat urine & droppings have any cancer causing agents in them that are airborne.
Not necessarily. Unless the air you're breathing has contaminants in it that can trigger causing your lungs to get busted. However, rat poop stinks and there are certain contaminants that go with the fumes that may harm him.
Nope. If its a dead rat it'll cause stomach aches. You have to put the cage out. That could cause him to get more sick.

- Upper right back pain and neck pain. Is it lung cancer? I have mild scoliosis and spend several hours a day on the couch watching videos or movies on my iphone. The pain comes and goes.
