Can cops track ip address from link?
Someone was mad at me so they posted an ad for a iphone and put my number in it, it wasn't malicious or anything but they put my number, will the cops track the ip address and find who did it and will they get in trouble?
can they do that? Also btw the ad is deleted

Cops can track anything. A lot of people think that cops aren't able to track a blocked number, which is very wrong. I doubt cops themselves could bring up a deleted iPhone ad though.
Never, never, never give out your personal information on the Internet, this includes your phone number. Everyone in the whole world, 100's of billions of people can see it and use it!
