Can getting shocked by an iphone charger kill you?

I was taking a shower and my hair was still wet when I came out of the bathroom and tried to unplug my phone. My skin was dry and all but the cable was frayed and shocked me. I was just wondering if I should be worried about anything? (Probably not, but couldn t hurt to ask!)

If the current passes through your heart, yes. The lethality of electrical shocks depends a lot on the path they take through your body

Theoretically even a static shock *could* induce a heart attack.

I'm amazed you could feel that. A 9V batter has more power than a USB charger, and we all licked those as kids.

You actually might want to replace the charger… It's probably fried if it put out enough juice to shock you.

Medically speaking, you'll be fine.

Are you dead NOW?

NO, it won't kill you
