Can I activate an iPhone 4 that was At&t, on my Verizon account?

My friend got a new iPhone, and wants to give me her iPhone 4. She has an account with At&t, and my account is Verizon. Can I activate her old iPhone (At&t). On my Verizon account?

Nope. The iphone that your friend has can only be activated on A T&T network. Her iphone 4 is locked for A T&T. You won't be able to activate that phone on Verizon Network.

A 4? That's iffy. A 4S. No problem. In 2010 they made a ATT iPhone and a Verizon iPhone 4. 4 is not dual band like the 4s. ATT uses GSM. Verizon uses CDMA. So you can't unlock the ATT 4 and expect it to work on Verizon. It wasn't built with the antenna inside to do that. Sell it and trad for a Verizon 4 then. Best luck.

It's locked to AT&T and if you did get it unlocked it wouldn't work since Verizon is CDMA and AT&T is GSM

Yes you can. You would have to Unlock it first of all.

Nope. That iPhone 4 is GSM, whereas Verizon is CDMA. Can't switch between the 2.
