I purchased a used Verizon iPhone 4 and want to activate it on my Verizon account?
A friend uses her dad's old iPhone on her AT&T account as her phone without a data plan. I want to do the same and replace my 12 year old's flip phone. Verizon says I must purchase another data plan to activate this phone to my account. Any suggestions? Otherwise we're thru with Verizon.
What you need to do is to contact Verizon (either at their call in customer service, or at a Verizon store), make the changes to the account to enable a data plan to be on the account, then provide the IMEI of the phone to Verizon, wait to be prompted to dial [*228] on the phone and follow the prompts.
Aside from wait times, this all should be able to be done within 20-30 minutes.
The only real hold-ups in the process is that you need to be an authorized account user to make those changes, which requires being able to provide account passwords and such. Also, if the phone has a bad ESN (electronic serial number), it will not be able to be activated due to the phone being reported lost or stolen or being on an account that is massively past due.
- UAE purchased iPhone, can be used in India? I purchased iPhone 6S almost 1 month back in UAE, Abu Dhabi. I will move to India next month. Can I use my iPhone there in India? Or I have to get it unlocked and all. IIm just worried I purchased just few days back.
- Is there any way I can transfer stuff I purchased from iTunes on one account, to a new/other account? Let's say I purchased 30 songs & 3 movies on an account with iTunes (let's call that account, account A) & now, 2 years later, I create a new account (account B) & now I want to keep my old stuff, the 30 songs & 3 movies, is there any possible way I can transfer my purchased items from account A to account B?
- IPhone 5 broke, can I buy a used iPhone 4 and activate it? This may seem like a silly question, but I'm not that informed about cell phone plans really… I've had a iPhone 5 for the past year and a half through Verizon. It broke today. Like full on broke nto covered by insurance… I found a Verizon iPhone 4 for sale for like 70 bucks in great condition from someone on craigslist. If I buy that, can I go into Verizon with it and have them activate it for me and have it be my new phone? Does this make sense?
- If i buy a used iphone 4s can i activate it with verizon's prepaid plans? I'm a minor so i can't get a contract on my own, so i figured that a prepaid plan is the best option for me. Is there any sort of deposit or contract or credit check or anything like that? And is it one of those prepaid plans that you get on a card from walmart or something?
