Can I block a number on my iphone but still receive texts from that number sent to my email address?
My daughter's ipod is linked to my apple account so her friends send imessages to my email address so that she can get them on her ipod. However, they come through to my phone as well. There are quite a bit of them so I'm hoping to find a way to only have them sent to her ipod and not my phone. Any suggestions?

You mean your iCloud account. It has your phone number and her email listed. That's where iMessage gets it's information from. Tough being a good parent and not overloaded with junk, I know. You are logged into both machines that's why messages go to both.
Be mindful that means all of your outgoing stuff is showing up copied on that iPod too. Texts, etc.
The easy fix, just take the remove the email account from your inbox and only add it back when you want to periodically scan it.
The only real way to fix that is to remove her email from your iCloud and iTunes. Inconvenient but you'll have to set up her iTunes account then iCloud with the email so iMessage continues to run. You keep her Apple ID and password on file but you can also implement the parental controls most don't know about.
