Can I buy an iPhone 5s under contract and then sell it?
I'm adding a phone line for my dad… He will be using a basic phone that I used to have, since he is not big on technology. I'm planning on activating a line with an iphone 5s and a 2 year contract and then selling the iphone to a friend.Am I able to do this without any penalties? I'm planning on keeping my dad on a basic line. No data plan.
Added (1). The carrier will be AT&T
You could, yes.
But you'd still have to pay for the service for 2 years, including the data. Or cancel the contract and pay a $300+ fee.
It depends on the carrier. Ask them if you have to keep the data plan if you switch to a phone that's not a smart phone. I know you can on Verizon, but I don't know about others.
Sure if you keep paying the contract.
- Should I buy an iPhone 5 then sell it? I'm thinking of buying an iPhone 5 and then selling it for almost twice its retail price because there are so many Apple addicts out there that would remove there kidney to get an Apple product. I'm asking based on the 'internets' opinion if you think this idea would work and if you know anybody like this or have heard any stories about Apple products being sold for ridiculous prices (I'm curious!). BEST ANSWER WILL GET 10 POINTS.

- Good place to buy an iphone 4s w/out a contract under $300? I really want an iphone 4s for Christmas but my family has a no-contract phone service where you have to but your own phones. I've tried ebay and they're pretty expensive. A good-condition used one is ok.
