Can I change my Iphone 5 for a Iphone 5s at apple store?

I would like to know if I can change my Iphone 5 for a Iphone 5s my Iphone was a gift so I don't know were my uncle bought it I just know that is unlocked and I have the T-Mobile company it also have warranty… So f I've been hearing of some people who just change their Iphone but they don't even got it from apple store they just had to give like $100 or $200 to change their phones… Can I do the same thing?

I watched a video and it looked complicated and risky. If I take it to the apple store will they do it for me? Is that allowed?

Why would I buy an iPhone 4s from Verizon for $449.99 when they're sold on the Apple website for $99?
