Can i get my iphone 3gs replaced?

I have an iphone 3gs, don't be saying why have such an old phone blah blah blah, but now the battery has gotten really bad, it takes hours or a long while to turn on and when fully charged it goes out of charge at like 70%. I think i might have warrenty, am i able to get it replaced or not because they don't sell iphone 3gs in shops anymore?

You may have some coverage, but for battery issues especially, that's usually sketchy at best. Here are some details that may cover your scenario. If not, contact whoever offered you the warranty and ask - there's no harm in it!

Apple's extends to one year limited parts and labour (exempting battery, as an example) from date of purchase. Your 3Gs would definitely not be under this coverage. AppleCare (extended warranty) is 3 years at present, but it has stipulations regarding replacement of battery units as being under a certain percentage of the factory charge.

Most businesses I know of will only offer extended warranties for 3 years at maximum; assuming you have this coverage there's a good chance battery may not be covered. If it is, it's usually at 50% of the factory charge required before action is taken.

Replacement is unlikely, but you may be able to get store credit for the purchase price, depending on where you got it. I don't know of any businesses that will give you a better replacement on a plan - and most are repair to begin with.

The fact is your phone is really old and probably there's no applicable coverage on it; especially with batteries, it is usually at less than 50% of the factory charge that they will agree to replace it, or not at all.
