Can I get my iPhone 4S replaced?
I have an iPhone 4S. I'm not due for an upgrade until January 2014. However, my phone barely works. Not only is the entire front screen and back shattered, my home button does not work and now the lock button doesn't either. It is very frustrating. Also, it takes forever to send a message and Internet is very slow. I know this has nothing to do with my carrier because my sister has an iPhone and her Internet and messages work perfectly fine ad we're on the same exact plan.
I have gone into apple before and they said they can replace the phone for the contract price which used to be $200 for the iPhone 4S. However, now that the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c are now available for the contact price of $200 and the iPhone 4S has a new contract price of $0. Would they be able to replace my phone for free?
You can try asking - but it sounds like you are going to be stuck with a broke phone until next year.
You probably would still have to pay $200 because they are doing you a deal, not involving your carrier.
Also the 4S model coming out now is only 8GB, most likely your is at least 16GB.
You should pay the $200 and then spend an extra $50 for a really durable case… It seems like you don't know how to take care of a phone.

I've heard that when the front screen panel is replaced, so is the home button/touch id.
