Can I get photos back that I deleted from my iPhone 4 on my phone?

Okay when we delete a photo from our camera roll on our iPhone 4 it must go somewhere? In the phone where? Is it possible to somehow restore the photos? Please!

Data recovery software

Only if you have the Cloud set up. If you do, you'll see it on "My Computer" then "Photo Stream" which is below "Devices with Removable Storage"

No, you delete the a photo they are gone. The only way to get them back is if you were smart and either copied them to a computer or have a backup.

Deleted photos and data don't "go" anywhere; there's no magical "silicon heaven" for deleted data to enjoy an afterlife in. They stay on the device they're stored on, but the operating system releases the memory they occupy to be overwritten with new data. Until that occurs, the data remains recoverable if you have the correct data recovery software installed on a host computer.

You might not need to follow that path though if you had your phone set up to automatically back up your photos to a cloud service such as DropBox or iCloud. You might even have an Apple TimeMachine installed at home automatically backing up your Apple devices via Wi-Fi.

But if you have no back ups, or if you're trying to use recovery software to save files deleted a long while ago then you have lost them permanently.

There are some free and low cost data recovery programs, but the best and most powerful ones are very expensive and intended for professional users. I use an old copy of EasyRecovery Pro which Is installed on an old Win XP machine used solely for data recovery: the software cost me a fortune but is so good that even today it is still able to recover data which most other software can't find. It was never designed to recover phone data but I have managed that with Android and Windows Phones in the past.
