Can I get someone arrested for selling me a fake charger?
I just bought a charger from a kiosk for $16. When i went to plug it in, it said "This cable is not certified to charge an Iphone." I was told differently by the salesman… I went back to return the item and they said they do not take returns. Can I get them in trouble for selling me a faulty charger and refusing to give me my money back?
GO TO THE COURTHOUSE AND FILE A PETITION TO PICKET. THEN PICKET THE OUTSIDE OF THERE DOOR, YOU WILL HAVE YOUR MONEY IN 5 MINUTES
Can you prove everything and do you want to spend the time and money pursue the matter?
It will cost you money to fight this with an attorney. Do they have a website… If so, put a complaint on it.
Also report them to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and contact Consumer Protection.
Ya' they'll get the gas chamber over $16. Don't buy think for Apple from anyone but Apple.
No
The police don't care what you claim the kiosk man told you, this is purely a civil problem.
You're welcome to sue them, stamp your feet, or complain to the better business bureau.
This is a civil issue. If you feel the vendor purposefully defrauded you then file a complaint with the police and whatever agency licenses them to do business in your area. Otherwise you have to file a small claims court case against them. Even if it is for a few dollars you can do it on principle and make them pay the court costs for the lawsuit if you win the case.
Most states have an implied warranty of use on merchandise which means that the items you purchase much serve its purpose for which it is sold for. You have a reasonable expectation that what you paid for is going to serve its purpose unless otherwise stated by the seller prior to purchase.
Its not faulty, that means its not made by Apple so they say it is not authorized. Just use it.
Wasn't it better to buy a real charger from an apple store?
- Which is better: selling on amazon or selling on ebay? I have an individual seller account and I've noticed that my products sell much faster or ebay. However, I sold two iphones. My final sale fee $1100. However, ebay charged me a final sale fee of $135 Then I was charged $40 by paypal Then I paid $60 total to ship both items. On my amazon account I sold 1 phone. The phone cost $180 Amazon took out $30 Shipping cost $10 So I made $140
- Selling a fake iphone case but not advertising the brand illegal? My friend had made a purchase of over 100 fake top brand(leave the brand out for now) Iphone cases for a very cheap price and sold them cheaply thru eBay. Ebay quickly took his listing as he was actually advertising the brand in his listing. After much frustration he gave up on the cases and gave them to me. Is it legal to sell these cases without mentioning the brand at all? Simply selling non brand Iphone cases isn't illegal right?
- Is there such thing as fake Iphone 5 selling in S'pore that shares the same logo Apple have? I wanted to buy an Iphone 5 in Singapore, but was told that there are fake Iphone 5 manufactures and was unsure and worried whether they are selling those cheaper option smartphones in Singapore that shares the same logo, trademark design as Apple, which I hope not.
- Could I get arrested for unlocking? I was given a iPhone 4S and I want to know if I could be arrested for jailbreaking it and then unlocking it.
