Can I have a data only plan with Verizon?
I like having a smartphone so I can look up whatever I want whenever I want, but I rarely ever make phone calls or text messages. Can I have a data only plan with Verizon and can I use Wi-Fi to make calls and texts when necessary. I have an IPhone 6 and I can't get a straight answer from Verizon.

The only way to get a data plan only, is to get mobile hot spot and connect with a computer or tablet. I think the cheapest plan is like $45/month.

Now I already know that I can buy one full price from Verizon for about $649 but I don't want to go that route, and I don't want to buy a subsidized iPhone 5 and end up losing my unlimited data plan.
