Can i just change sim cards?

I have a go phone and an old iphone that i use as an ipod. Can i just take the sim card out of my go phone and put it in the iphone without getting charged? I don't want 3g internet, i just want to be able to text and make calls off of it and only get internet if i have Wi-Fi. Is this possible? Btw i have ATT.

Just call an AT&T store and make sure. They will know more than we do.

Prob not. A Sim card needs to be activated.

  • What happens if I change SIM cards on an iPhone 5? I have an active iPhone 5 on AT&T. If I put my friends active iPhone 5 SIM card into my iPhone 5, what happens? Will I lose my contacts? Will it restore my phone? Will it change my phone to his plan? Or will it just show different contacts on the phone instead of the ones on my SIM card? My friends SIM card is active on AT&T. Will it just replace my phone contacts with his/ And will it change the phone number to the new sim card?
  • Is there a point to change out SIM cards when you upgrade to a new iPhone? Since iPhone utilizes iCloud for contacts, data, etc. Is there a point of switching an older SIM card into a new iPhone you purchase? Especially if you contact your carrier to update the number?
  • IPhones that can read already activated T-Mobile SIM cards? I asked my dad if I could get an iPhone if I could find one somewhere cheap enough that I could afford it. He said only if I can find one that can read regular T-Mobile SIM card, and is already unlocked to where it will work on the T-Mobile network. Does anyone know where, if they even exist, they can be bought/ordered?
  • If I just buy an AT&T iPhone 5 can I just put my sim card in it and it'll work? I wanted to buy a new iPhone, and didn't want to have to get a new contract. I wanted to know if I just bought a new iPhone off the internet with my company would I be able to do this, because I'm really getting sick of this iPhone 4. Someone please help me with this question.
