Can i keep my mobile if i cancel my contract early?

I'm just wondering, if i cancel my "3" contract early, can i keep my mobile phone.
my contract was for 24 months and i'm now down to 17 months left but i have been on the phone multiple times over the months about the signal, i have had a replacement iPhone 5 from the apple store thinking it maybe the phone but its not the phone. I also paid £90 upfront for the phone at the beginning of the contract? Any replies are appreciated.

Yes you'll be able to keep it, but cancelling a phone contract, all your doing is paying for the next 17 months at once! You have to buy out the contract. It sucks!

Yep you can keep it. But be prepared to pay for the cancellation fee foe terminating your contract early. Iphone 5 cost only 110-150 for "3" as they buy in bulk. I know this as they accidentally sent a receipt with mine. You could ask for a booster pack which you plug into your modem at home which sorts out your problem. You can pick them up from ebay for abou £50 or if you have the haggling skills you can get one sent out by "3" for free.

I have the same isue kind of i have iphone4s & never get signal in my house execpt for upstairs in my room with my phone againstthe wall that faces outside!
i think 3 arent great for coverage all over the uk but have good deals/bargains at times.
& if you want to "bump them" you wil need to empty your direct debit accoutn so there's no miney for them to take & if they send you letters just send them back saying no longer at this address on the front!
& they never come to your address they just cut off the sim/phone you still have the fone tho!
& then you just order a contract sim with no fone ( monthly rolling contract)
so its not direct debit.
