Can I move everything from my Iphone8 onto my old Iphone7 phone?
I lost my phone a year ago thinking it was stolen… I had to get a new phone but they were only able to give me an iPhone 8 which I haven't loved because of the lack of headphone jack… And other things…
so yesterday my phone was found in the back of a locker at work. Can I transfer everything over from my iphone8 back to my old iphone7? I haven't had it in over a year.
I'm assuming I can use iCloud and just move everything? What are the steps.
1) Open Settings on your old iPhone.
2) Tap the Apple ID banner.
3) Tap iCloud.
4) Tap iCloud Backup.
5) Tap Back Up Now.
6) Turn your old iPhone off once the backup is finished.
7) Remove the SIM card from your old iPhone and move it to your new one.
8) sign into your account from the phone you wan to use and restore.
I don't see the problem with the 8 vs the 7 as far as no headphone jack since the 7 doesn't have one either.
Anyhow yes you can transfer from the 8 to the 7. If you have the backup ready either through iCloud or on a computer through iTunes.

- Is it possible to use the same apple ID for a new phone but not have everything from the old phone transfer over? I was just wondering because I will be getting a new iPhone and I want to still use my current apple ID, but have a clean slate and choose what transfers over.
- IPhone 7 or iphone8? I currently have an iPhone 6, its about three years old so I want to upgrade. I like the new design of the iPhone 8, and it has an A11 chip, as well as some other nice features, but wireless charging is the biggest one and I don't care for wireless charging. Other than that the iphone 8 i almost identical to the iphone 7. Thoughts?
